How your payment is protected
  1. Card entry stays with Stripe. Card number and CVC are typed into Stripe Elements — an embedded, PCI-compliant field. The digits never appear in our page or on our servers.
  2. Saving a card creates a SetupIntent. Stripe verifies the card and hands back an opaque token; we store only the brand and last 4 digits for display.
  3. Every top-up re-checks your CVC. The code is tokenized in your browser as a single-use token and passed straight through to Stripe.
  4. Charges are verified server-side. The server creates a PaymentIntent; if your bank requires 3-D Secure, the challenge runs in your browser and the result is re-verified with Stripe before a single dollar is credited.
  5. Demo mode. A deterministic in-process gateway simulates this exact flow — no card networks are contacted and no real charges occur.
